Shortlisted scallops spell success for Amity

Amity Fish Company's Panko Queenie Scallops are in contention for 'best new product' at regional awards

Amity Fish Company have been named as finalists in four of the 12 categories at

this year’s Northeast Scotland Food & Drink Awards. The annual event, which returns this year following a 2-year break, aims to recognise the achievements of the region’s innovative food and drink producers.

The Scottish seafood supplier, based in Aberdeenshire, is being recognised for its Panko Queenie Scallops in the Best New Product category -- and has also been shortlisted in the Business Growth, Ecommerce, and Operational Excellence categories of the competition.

Around 30 businesses have been shortlisted for the awards which celebrate

excellence and innovation from small start-ups to giants of the food and drink industry. The Awards are open to all food and drink producers in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and

Moray – which together account for more than 20% of Scotland’s sector output

(excluding whisky) and employ more than 22,000 people.

On judging all product categories, Stephen Brown, Head of Food Services, CJ Lang

Amity Fish Company are also currently shortlisted at both the Made In Scotland and Scottish Retail Food and Drink Awards, soon to be announced.
