An all-star lineup of chefs join Cameron House Resort
Cameron House Hotel will offer visitors a variety of dining options when it reopens in August, including the brand new Tamburrini & Wishart.
The five-star Cameron House Hotel, located in the heart of Loch Lomond, has announced the appointment of five new senior additions to its culinary hospitality team. Together these chefs form a talented and ambitious team who will head up the exclusive fine dining experiences at Cameron House.
When it reopens in August, Cameron House Hotel will offer an array of exciting dining options. Alongside returning favourites, such as the Cameron Grill and Great Scots Bar, the hotel will include a new fine dining restaurant, Tamburrini & Wishart, headed up by revered Scottish chefs Paul Tamburrini and Martin Wishart, as well as The Tavern Bar and The Lobby Bar, serving the finest champagne, cocktails and afternoon teas.
These new restaurants and bars join the resort’s existing food and drinks line up which includes The Boat House and The Clubhouse at Cameron.
Commenting on the new appointments, Zoltan Szabo, Resort Executive Chef said: "I believe that this is the strongest lineup of senior chefs we have ever had at Cameron House. Each of them brings exceptional new talent to the team here, and we’re all looking forward to that first service together in August.”
Esteemed Scottish chef, Mark Drummond, will join Cameron House as Executive Sous Chef. In his new role, he will help oversee all of the resort’s fine dining experiences with a particular focus on the contemporary Cameron Grill, situated at the heart of the hotel with stunning views across Loch Lomond. Joining from Rosewood Hotels, where he was head chef for London’s Holborn Dining Room, Mark has a proven history of creating memorable menus and unforgettable experiences for guests as well as expressing a passion for teaching and nurturing young talent.
He will be accompanied by Vinny Tzortzis, Cameron Grill Head Chef. With experience from Celtic Manor Resort, Vinny has a strong history of creating delectable dishes and unforgettable culinary experiences and will be serving classic cuisines throughout Breakfast, Sunday Lunch and Dinner in the heart of the Cameron House Resort.
David Lilley joins as Head Pastry Chef with experience ranging from the Chester Hotel to the Michelin Star Peat Inn, as well as a number of other award-winning hotels and restaurants around St Andrew’s. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and lifelong experience of pastry. Commenting on the role David said: “Pastry has always been my passion and I believe that Cameron House will be the platform to allow me to grow and push the boundaries of my capabilities and allow me to reach new heights within my career.”
Working closely with David Lilley is Pastry Sous Chef Martin Goldie. Martin is an upcoming pastry chef who started his career by completing the Modern Apprenticeship program’s Patisserie and Confectionary qualification.
Michael Williams also re-joins Cameron House as Meeting and Events Head Chef, a role he previously held for seven years, and will further elevate what the resort has on offer. With further experience ranging from Gleneagles to Hilton and Grand Central Hotel, Michael will return to the helm of culinary for Meeting and Events operations at the resort. Catering for everything from small meetings to large corporate gatherings Michael will bolster the exceptional offering for everything from exclusive private dining experiences to lavish banquets.
