Taste Magazine visited Bruntsfield’s latest opening. Here are our thoughts on the new community space.
The past 18 months have certainly been a challenge for many, with the way we work and interact with one another being irrevocably changed. However, with a sense of ‘normality’ slowly returning to us, a community space for people to work, study or socialise together is sorely needed.
The Neighbourhood, which has now entered the scene in Bruntsfield, seeks to provide that to the community, whether it be catchups over brunch, coffee-fuelled cram sessions or evening work meetings.
The Neighbourhood fulfils these aspirations in several ways. For those seeking to mix things up from the all too familiar home working situation, the new opening offers an all day tea and coffee service with fast wifi, all for a tenner.
Meanwhile, the outdoor seating area, including heated booths, is the perfect spot to catch up with some friends over the weekend as well as a great dog-friendly spot to rest after a long walk.
The new opening also features a range of fantastic drinks, including some delicious cocktails, making it a great stopping point for some after-work socials, special occasions or weekend brunch. The drink we were greeted with tasted fantastic!
This dedication to serving as a community space for Bruntsfield is backed up behind its food philosophy. Making use of seasonal dishes inspired by Scotland and local ingredients, The Neighbourhood serves up dishes to not only provide for local customers but support local producers in the process.
Open five days per week, Wednesdays to Sundays from 7 am - 1 am, the Neighbourhood is here to serve the Bruntsfield community.
