The iconic rooftop venue are unveiling their new upgraded menu and look just in time for summer. The newly decorated Festival Village, which sits on Waverley mall between the Balmoral and Princess St Gardens, has views of Edinburgh's most iconic landmarks: Aurthur's Seat, Edinburgh Castle, and the Scott Monument. With all these exciting upgrades, the Festival Village will be the ideal setting to grab a refreshing pint or boozy slushie whilst taking photos for the 'gram.

The Village venue's summer makeover, made possible by teaming up with two independent local brands - Smugglers Spirits and Secret Garden Distillery, is also a part of a plan to make the site more sustainable. Recent changes have included switching to recycles PET plastic drinking cups and working with waste management partners who turn general wast into

compressed bricks to use in construction. They are also working with local suppliers to provide customers with more sustainable food and drinks options. The new headline sponsor of Waverley's Festival Village, Smugglers Spirits, has sustainability in the heart of their business ethos. Their handcrafted spirits are created using naturally grown Scottish botanicals, and is inspired by the rich, exciting history of Edinburgh's smuggling past. In fact, the brand have developed an exclusive flavour range in honour of their partnership with the Festival Village. In true Edinburgh fashion, the Smugglers Spirits have created three vibrant and colourful flavoured gins to reflect the lively atmosphere at the popular city-centre drinking spot. The new gin flavours include Strawberry, Orange, and Raspberry, and they are all completely natural and made with locally grown botanicals. Their new and highly anticipated Scottish Vodka will also be available on location.

The Secret Garden Distillery will also be sponsoring the Festival Village this summer. Their craft gins are made with 100% natural ingredients at the foot of the Pentland Hills. Their new Secret Garden Restaurant offers a menu of light bites inspired by the herbs and botanicals grown at the Secret Garden Distillery’s stunning herb garden. A tailored cocktail menu

featuring the Secret Garden Gin will also be a key feature. The open-air restaurant will bring a taste of the Secret Garden Distillery’s natural world to the city of Edinburgh and is decorated with living displays that capture carbon from busy city life.

Festival Village will also continue to provide plenty of choice for hungry customers by partnering with local street food vendors Pizza Geeks, Say Cheese, Butcher Boy, and new kids on the block Brothers Poutinerie. Festival Village are a well-known live music venue, and support local up-and-coming musicians in their careers. Live music can be heard all summer at the Smugglers Stage from 2pm every day.
