After reviewing various parts of the business, such as printing, digital, distribution and our office activities, Taste Magazine has received the fantastic news that we have become a carbon neutral business.
Experts in Calculation and Verification to the ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standard, the Carbon Neutral Britain team calculated our Carbon Footprint - measured in Tonnes of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent (CO²e).
The team help us reduce our emissions, and then offset our remaining Carbon Footprint with certified projects in Britain and around the world that reduce the amount of CO²e in the earths atmosphere.
All of the carbon offsetting projects are verified to the highest standards via the four largest Carbon Certifications in the world - the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER), UK and EU Emissions Trading Standard (EU + UK ETS), and the United Nations Certified Emission Reductions (CER) programmes.
Regulated, verified and third party audited, the international carbon credits that are used are exactly the same credits as those used by multinational organisations, and even countries in their emission reduction schemes around the world - so we can be confident we are supporting vital projects, with accurate emissions reductions.

Taste Scotland Ltd has a work at home policy for all team members and also uses freelance writers and photographers. Taste Scotland Ltd now prints 10,000 copies of the printed publication using recycled pulp and has integrated the print version into a digital copy. We now utilise a one-car park and walk policy when carrying out distribution activities.
